h1. Configure HP LaserJet 2300 Series PS printer

*Steps:*

# go to *Control Panel* -> *Hardware and Sound* -> *Devices and Printers*

# click *Add Printer* button

# select *Add a Local Printer*, at the next prompt, choose: 

## *Create a new port*

## *Type of port* : Standard TCP/IP Port

# press *Next* button to continue

# at the *Type a printer hostname or IP address*, enter:

## *Hostname of IP address*: 192.168.2.2

## *Port name*: 192.168.2.2

## un-tick the *Query the printer and ....*

# press *Next* to continue (it may takes a while)

# at *Additional port information required*, select:

## *Custom* and press the *Settings...* butto, and at the *Port Settings* tab, choose

### *Protocol*: LPR

### *Queue Name*: lpt1

### press *OK* to confirm

## press *Next* to continue

# at the *Install the printer driver*, select:

## *Manufacturer*: HP

## *Printers*: HP LaserJet 2300 Series PS

# press *Next* to continue and follow the remaining instructions to complete the setup
